The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) is seeking an Environmental Education Assistant for Ray Brook to support Education, Summer Camps, Public Outreach and Education Staff activities. You will help deliver programs, assist training, recruit campers, and engage with the public on DEC's mission.
Responsibilities include leading education sessions, coordinating with schools, preparing lesson plans and materials, and helping with program logistics.
The Environmental Education Assistant for Ray Brook will be responsible for four main areas:
one year of experience in environmental education programs; or one year college study with specialization in natural science, natural resources, or environmental education.
