Job summary

Terracon’s Nebraska Region is seeking a motivated Geologist, Engineer, or Scientist to join our environmental Due Diligence team in Lincoln or Omaha. You will support Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, limited site investigations, brownfield redevelopment projects, and related environmental consulting assignments.

You’ll conduct field work, collect and evaluate soil and groundwater samples, research public records, coordinate with regulatory agencies, and prepare clear,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, hydrogeology, environmental science or related field and up to 1 year experience.
• Strong organization and technical writing skills.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable history.
• Ability to travel out of town on as needed basis.

Responsibilities

• following Terracon’s safety rules, guidelines, and standards; participating in pre-task planning; and communicating safety questions or concerns promptly.
• maintaining quality standards across projects while developing practical experience in site assessment, field data collection, sampling, technical documentation, and client communication.
• consulting with other technical professionals and supervisor on routine and complex projects.
• performing site visits and field observations, implementing project-specific technical requirements, evaluating laboratory and field data, preparing proposals and reports for senior review, and participating in client and project team meetings.
