Job summary

Terracon’s Charlotte Environmental team is seeking an experienced Environmental Due Diligence leader to guide Phase I and II ESAs, develop strategies, and drive the practice forward. You will collaborate with the Environmental Department Manager to ensure timely, on-budget delivery, high-quality reporting, and robust client service across national accounts and local clients.

You will mentor junior staff, supervise fieldwork and data collection, prepare proposals, and help shape business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline including Engineering, Environmental Science or Geology.
• At least 7 years’ due diligence practice experience.
• Certification in field of expertise required.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety efforts and promote safe work environment and pre-task planning for projects.
• Prepare proposals and cost estimates.
• Maintain quality standards on all projects.
• Supervise and/or perform site visits, field observations and data collection.
• Supervise collection and analysis of data from sampling, maps, drawings, tests and photos.
• Supervise water, soil and other sampling.
• Prepare reports documenting findings and recommendations for clients.
• Review technical reports for quality and accuracy.
• Manage, mentor, and develop junior staff.
• Support business and client development activities with leadership input.
• Plan staffing, recruitment and onboarding in the group.
• Develop and execute annual business plan for the Group.
• Oversee key metrics: revenue growth, staffing chargeability, billing, profitability.
• Understand project risk and company risk policies.
• Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects.
• Conduct projects in other practice areas when asbestos, lead-containing paint, and hazardous materials are slow.
• Cross-sell additional service line offerings.
