Job summary

Clean Earth, Inc. is seeking a CDL Driver for predominantly local routes to pack, transport, and dispose of waste in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.

You will maintain accurate records and follow training while delivering reliable service. Travel will be mainly local with occasional overnight stays; you will load, secure, and unload waste at customer sites and Clean Earth locations, while providing outstanding customer service to assigned accounts daily.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21+ years old
  • High School diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Valid Class B CDL with Hazmat endorsement
  • Able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs repeatedly
  • Ability to stand, bend and walk for extended periods
  • Able to pass DOT physical and drug test
  • Willing to comply with PPE requirements

Responsibilities

  • Package and transport waste safely according to federal, state, and local rules
  • Complete required paperwork per regulations and policies
  • Load/unload materials and secure waste at various sites
  • Prepare and load truck with supplies
  • Provide excellent customer service to assigned accounts daily
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip checks on the truck
  • Plan routes based on daily paperwork and customer needs
  • Follow routing software and DOT guidelines

In the CDL Driver role, you will be traveling to locations along an assigned route where you will be responsible for packing, transporting, and properly disposing of waste materials in accordance with our environmentally responsible policies and procedures. This positionrequiresthemaintenance of recordswithaccuracy and attention to detail, the ability to follow instruction,and to work independently onceprovidedproper training.

This position will be mainly local route, occasional overnights.

Job Details
  • Package and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
  • Complete required paperwork in accordance with appropriate regulations and customer policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Load and secure materials and waste or unload truck at various customer sites or Clean Earth locations.
  • Prepare and load truck with necessary supplies.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service to assigned accounts daily while communicating any issues to the Manager or Dispatcher for resolution.
  • Perform a documented pre-trip and post-trip check on assigned truck prior to leaving and closing each day.
  • Plan schedule/route based on customer needs by reviewing daily paperwork (e.g.manifests, route sheets, etc.).
  • Follow routing software route schedule.
  • Follow all DOT guidelines while driving.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Pay range $30.00 – $32.00 hourly

Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
  • At least 21 years of age
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Understand, read, and write English
  • Able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
  • Able to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time
  • Basic knowledge of Windows-based software (Word, Excel,etc)
  • Willing and able to wear company-provided personal protective equipment such as eye protection, foot protection, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator (as needed)
  • Valid ClassB Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
  • Hazmat endorsement
  • Able to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and DEA background check
Preferred Requirements:
  • Valid TWIC Card
  • At least 1 year of route driving experience
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials and OSHA regulations
