Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking an Environmental Department Manager in the United States to lead the environmental department, directing engineers, project managers, and staff while aligning with ECS standards and safety expectations. This role drives project delivery, staff development, and business growth across client accounts and initiatives.

You will oversee budgeting, performance metrics, and strategic initiatives, ensuring quality and timely results.

Qualifications

• 6 years of related experience with a degree or 10 years of related experience without a degree
• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's/Master's preferred in Civil/Environmental fields

Responsibilities

• Directly leads engineers, Project Managers, technicians, and support staff
• Owns performance management, coaching, career development, and succession planning
• Builds and maintains an effective department structure aligned with workload, growth objectives, and service offerings
• Communicates branch, subsidiary, and corporate initiatives to staff and supports implementation locally
• Oversees project execution through delegation to Project Managers and technical leaders
• Ensures projects meet safety, quality, schedule, and budget standards
• Drives client relationship management and department growth strategy
• Oversees proposal development, pricing strategy, and scope definition
• Promotes and enforces a strong safety culture
• Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and company procedures
