Job summary

ExxonMobil in Baytown, TX is seeking an Environmental Coordinator to support the plant's environmental and regulatory analyses, develop and maintain compliance systems, and ensure reporting required by internal and external bodies. The role will stay current with regulations and support advocacy and compliance staff.

The position is based in Baytown, TX and requires a Bachelor of Engineering with at least 3 years in oil/gas environmental work, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of EPA/Texas

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical or Environmental preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience supporting Oil and Gas Upstream and Unconventional Assets.
• Demonstrated knowledge of emissions calculations and methodology.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Federal & State environmental regulations (Texas).
• Familiarity with EPA and Texas programs (Air Emissions Inventory, Title V, NSPS, GHG, TRI, SPCC, Spill Reporting).

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental compliance support to Baytown Chemical Plant operations, including analysis of environmental regulations.
• Review changes to ensure compliance with assigned regulations and implement best practices.
• Complete internal and external reporting obligations for assigned reports/requirements.
• Support compliance assurance for programs (Air Emissions Inventory, Title V, NSPS, GHG, TRI, SPCC, Spill Reporting).
• Manage agency enforcement actions as necessary using SSHE and Law resources.
• Coordinate internal Corporate Environmental Reporting.

What role you will play in our team

The Environmental Coordinator will support ExxonMobil's Baytown Chemical Plant by completing environmental and regulatory analyses, developing, maintaining, and enhancing environmental and regulatory compliance systems, and ensuring compliance with internal and external environmental and regulatory reporting requirements. The position will keep up-to-date with assigned regulations and support ExxonMobil Advocacy and Compliance staff to drive reasonable rulemaking and interpretations. Actual job role will vary based on experience and knowledge of candidate(s).

What you will do

• Provide environmental compliance support to Baytown Chemical Plant operations, including analysis of environmental regulations and applicability determinations
• Support the review of physical and operational changes to ensure compliance with assigned regulations, utilizing existing best practices or implementing new best practices
• Complete internal and external reporting obligations for assigned reports/requirements.
• Support compliance assurance processes for assigned programs (e.g. Air Emissions Inventory, Title V, NSPS, GHG, TRI, SPCC, Spill Reporting) including, Regulatory Analysis, Regulatory Interpretations and Guidance and Compliance Support Tools (e.g. checklists, workshops, manuals, databases)
• Manage agency enforcement actions as necessary using available SSHE and Law resources
• Coordinate internal Corporate Environmental Reporting

About you

• Demonstrated knowledge of SAP, PowerBI, or other business productivity tools
