Job summary

Environmental Resources Management, Inc. (ERM) seeks a Consulting Senior Associate, Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist, based in Indianapolis.

You will work on site investigations, remediation, compliance, and hazardous waste management, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality environmental solutions. You'll gain exposure to advanced technologies, develop field and analytical skills, and progress toward professional registration while supporting projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in geology, hydrogeology, engineering, environmental science, or related discipline with minimum 3.0 GPA.
• 1–2 years of experience and willingness to perform field work for full days.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Effective written and verbal communication with good organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to travel across the United States and occasional global trips.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field work: sampling of soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, and related tasks.
• Assist with Phase I/II assessments to support property transfers.
• Prepare data compilations, reports, and environmental compliance documents.
• Support groundwater and wastewater system monitoring; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, regulators, tenants, and clients during field activities.
