Job summary

Farallon Consulting offers an internship in the Pacific Northwest for students in Geology, Environmental Science, or related fields. Bellevue or Seattle based, the role covers field and office work on environmental investigations, remediation, and regulatory projects, typically lasting 10–12 weeks with project-driven start/end dates.

You will gain OSHA HAZWOPER and safety training, field investigation experience, and exposure to WA environmental regulations, with mentorship and PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in bachelor’s or master’s program in environmental discipline.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist with environmental site investigations and remediation projects.
• Support soil, groundwater, sediment, and stormwater sampling activities.
• Collect, manage, and interpret environmental data.
• Conduct regulatory and historical research.
• Assist with technical reports, figures, and project documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the Puget Sound region.
• Gain exposure to consulting, project management, and environmental regulations.
