Description
Overall Responsibility: Involved in projects with our Planning and Design Team and be part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.
Essential Functions:
Environmental Project Manager:
- Manage environmental projects involving site characterization, remedial design, and environmental compliance, including USTs/ASTs, fuel repairs, Phase I environmental site assessments, compliance audits, and hydrogeology and remediation field investigations.
- Ensure environmental deliverables, schedules, and budgets are achieved.
- Perform field work for site characterization and remediation, overseeing subcontractors and sampling soil, vapor, sediment, surface water, and groundwater in accordance with regulations.
- Design and conduct subsurface investigations including drilling and sampling.
- Perform engineering calculations, data validation, and report writing.
- Prepare reports documenting procedures, data analysis, and assessments.
- Conduct investigations and inspections of various environmental sites to ensure compliance.
- Verify site characteristics and provide technical assistance.
- Assist Program and Project Managers with scope and fee development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project execution.
- Assist in developing and implementing site Health and Safety Plans (HASPs).
- Analyze data and report on environmental project tasks, recommending remedial solutions.
- Review projects for compliance with laws and standards.
Construction Project Manager:
- Oversee design-build projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely, within-budget, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design team interface:
- Interpret USPS goals and define project scope.
- Assist with ROMs and ensure utility constraints are considered.
- Review final design for constructability.
Prebid, Procurement, and Selection:
- Support contractor recruitment and bid evaluation.
Pre-Construction and Construction:
- Conduct preconstruction meetings and document approvals.
- Develop operational plans and ensure compliance.
- Monitor progress, quality, safety, and documentation.
Change Orders and Modifications:
- Manage change orders, track modifications, and conduct site inspections.
Stakeholder and Client Management:
- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Manage expectations and project communication.
Organizational and Administrative Responsibilities:
- Implement financial and operational controls.
- Manage documentation, responsibilities, and closeout processes.
Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related fields.
- PG or PE preferred.
- Certifications like PMP or CCM highly desirable.
- 5-7+ years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and field investigations.
- Experience in project management, leadership, and communication.
- Proficiency in MS Office and safety regulations.
- Willing to travel to project sites.
