Job summary

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) is seeking a Consulting Associate, Environmental Construction (DDD) to lead remediation and construction projects across North America. You will oversee field activities, coordinate contractors, and manage safety and project documentation.

You will collaborate with project teams to deliver high-impact solutions for clients in oil & gas, industrial manufacturing, and power sectors, while traveling as needed in the U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in environmental engineering or construction management consulting.
  • Experience on construction or remediation sites (DDD experience preferred).
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification required.
  • Ability to estimate, track, and manage project costs and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute remediation, DDD, asbestos, and construction projects, including design reviews, cost opinions, work progress tracking, and schedule management.
  • Lead on-site activities such as pre-construction meetings, field supervision, subcontractor coordination, and progress reporting.
  • Review contractor submittals (RFIs, clarifications, required documentation, change order requests) to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Provide construction management and quality assurance on environmental and earthwork projects, including site restoration and remedial system installations.
  • Serve as Field Safety Officer for investigation, remediation, and DDD projects: develop and implement site-specific Health & Safety Plans, conduct daily safety briefings, and maintain all safety records.
  • Identify and resolve issues that arise during inspections or contract administration.
  • Evaluate and manage subcontractor performance; negotiate and resolve change orders as needed.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between field teams and the in-house Project Manager to ensure alignment with project plans, specifications, and client expectations.
  • Support business development by identifying upcoming opportunities, meeting with clients, and contributing to proposals, interviews, and project contracting.
