Job summary

Dynamics ATS seeks an Environmental Specialist to ensure federal, state, and local environmental compliance. You will monitor conditions, perform inspections, and craft strategies to mitigate risks, collaborating with regulators and consultants to support sustainability goals.

The role involves preparing reports, maintaining permits, and supporting EMS implementation for energy conservation and waste reduction. Strong communication and GIS experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
• Experience with environmental regulations (EPA/OSHA/state regs).
• Knowledge of RCRA, CERCLA, CAA, CWA is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and data management tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience with GIS software or environmental modeling tools.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 or EMS frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor environmental compliance with EPA, OSHA, and state regulations.
• Conduct environmental assessments, site inspections, and audits.
• Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste programs; ensure proper disposal.
• Collect and analyze environmental samples (soil, water, air).
• Prepare and submit reports (e.g., SPCC, SWPPP, Tier II, Form R).
• Maintain permits and regulatory documentation (air quality, stormwater, wastewater).
• Assist in developing and implementing EMS.
• Support sustainability initiatives including energy/waste/water efficiency.
• Coordinate emergency response plans and environmental training for employees.
• Liaise with environmental agencies and participate in community activities.
