Qualifications

  • Senior: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science with 10+ years of experience; advanced certifications.
  • Midlevel: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science with 3+ years of experience.
  • Junior: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field; experience may be substituted for education.

  • Validate Technical Reports and recommend actions based on data findings.
  • Lead day-to-day coordination of environmental compliance for forward-deployed facilities and utility networks.
  • Oversee integration of environmental monitoring tools and improve waste treatment systems.
  • Validate environmental After-Action Reports and develop procedures to mitigate ecological risks.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to subordinate staff.

Job description

Minimum Qualifications

MANTECH seeks motivated, career and customer-oriented Environmental Compliance Specialists to join our team in Oahu, Hawaii and Australia.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
  • Plans and directs investigations to identify sources of environmental hazards that affect public health.
  • Collect and synthesize data from various scientific disciplines to study the impact of measurements on soil and water sources.
  • Validate Technical Reports and recommend actions based on observed data findings.
  • Leads the day-to-day coordination of environmental compliance for forward-deployed facilities and utility networks.
  • Oversee the integration of environmental monitoring tools and recommend process improvements to increase the efficiency of waste treatment systems.
  • Validate environmental After-Action Reports and develop tactical procedures to mitigate theaterwide ecological risks.
  • Provides leadership, guidance, and mentoring to subordinate staff.

Minimum Qualifications
Senior Level
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field and 10+ years of position-relevant experience (additional experience may be substituted in lieu of education).
  • Advanced technical certifications.
Midlevel
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field and 3+ years of position-relevant experience (additional experience may be substituted in lieu of education).
Junior Level
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field (relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of education).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Department of Agriculture Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) trained or certified.
  • Experience with USSOCOM-specific environmental sustainment.
  • Background in quality gate oversight for remediation projects.
Clearance Required
  • Must hold an active Secret clearance
Physical Requirements
  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
