Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a physical science, biological science, environmental science/engineering, occupational safety, industrial technology or related discipline; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Experience with regulatory compliance programs affecting air, water, waste, and groundwater quality.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME in environmental regulatory compliance, testing, monitoring, record keeping and reporting.
• Manage CWA permitting and MS4 Phase II NPDES permit compliance and individually permitted facilities.
• Oversee reclaimed water use permitting and compliance for reuse of treated wastewater in irrigation and building systems.
• Investigate and characterize soil and groundwater contamination for legacy waste disposal at university sites.
• Coordinate with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies and supervise staff/consultants as needed.
