LOCATION: This role reports to a project site on Camp Parks Army base in Dublin, CA.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Tepa Companies are seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist whose duties would include leading a wide variety of environmental compliance projects as they relate to hazardous material management, hazardous waste management, air quality, storage tank management, Pollution Prevention, storm water, and solid waste activities. Must have an understanding of federal and state laws, regulations and reporting requirements related to the above topics. Will prepare and submit environmental permits, inventory and update air quality databases, audit and inspect facilities for compliance with hazardous materials and waste regulations, monitor and audit construction sites for compliance with regulations and best management practices (BMPs), review and update facility environmental management plans including Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs); Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure Plans (SPCCs); Integrated Hazardous Materials and Waste Management Plans (IHMWMPs); solid waste plans and refrigerant management plans. Must be professional and courteous in all interactions.
This role is intended for recent college graduates who majored in an applicable field. As Tepa continues to grow, we are focusing on hiring recent graduates to begin their careers at our organization with opportunities to receive hands-on learning, mentorship, and growth within the company. This is an entry-level position that does not require previous experience but does require completed education in the particular discipline.
