Job summary

Compliance Management International (CMI) is seeking an Environmental Specialist to help clients navigate environmental regulations across air, water, and waste programs. You will prepare permits, perform technical analyses, develop compliance plans, and deliver impactful training to client teams.

The ideal candidate is proactive, able to manage multiple projects, and willing to travel locally and regionally.

Qualifications

BS degree in engineering or environmental science.
1+ years of relevant coursework or work experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and evaluation skills.
Ability to travel locally and regionally.
Proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

Prepare regulatory permit applications (air, stormwater, wastewater, hazardous waste).
Support ongoing compliance with air, stormwater, hazardous materials and waste regulations through emission calculations and reporting.
EPCRA reporting (Tier II and TRI).
Prepare technical documents and reports including SPCC, PPC, SWPPP, stack test protocols/reports.
Perform regulatory research and technical calculations.
Present training programs to clients.
Serve clients as a technical lead and face-to-face representative.
