Job summary

Compliance Management International (CMI) is seeking an Environmental Specialist to help clients navigate environmental regulations and maintain compliance across air, water, and waste programs. You will prepare permits, perform analyses, develop plans, and deliver training.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, capable of managing multiple projects, and comfortable serving as a technical lead and face-to-face client representative while traveling locally and regionally.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering or environmental science or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management and analytical abilities.
• Ability to travel locally and regionally.
• Familiarity with EPA, DOT, and state environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare regulatory permit applications (air, stormwater, wastewater, hazardous waste).
• Support ongoing compliance in air, stormwater, hazardous materials, and waste regulations through calculations and reporting.
• Perform EPCRA reporting (Tier II, TRI) and related compliance tasks.
• Prepare technical documents and reports (assessments, audits, spill plans, stack test reports).
• Conduct regulatory research and technical calculations.
• Deliver employee and supervisory training programs to clients.
• Serve clients as a technical lead and face-to-face representative.
