Job summary

Clearway Energy Group is seeking an Environmental Specialist to support site environmental programs, including hazardous waste, spills, and storm water compliance. The role emphasizes cost-effective use of company resources and adherence to regulations, with a hybrid work arrangement.

The ideal candidate has a BA/BS in environmental science or related field and 4–6 years of experience, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in environmental science or related field is required.
• Knowledge of Endangered Species Act, Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act related to renewables.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Licensure to operate a motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with site environmental programs including hazardous waste, petroleum products, SPCC plans, storm water run-off.
• Assist with preparation of environmental regulatory reports to local, state, and federal agencies.
• Maintain relationships with local and state regulatory agencies.
• Support Facilities with data input, compliance reviews, and EMS.
• Travel approximately 40% to sites.
