Job summary

Bureau of Reclamation is seeking a Natural Resources Specialist to help meet water demands in the West while protecting the environment. You will coordinate NEPA compliance, advise on environmental policies, and contribute to the planning of Reclamation projects.

Responsibilities include field studies, data analysis, and ensuring that projects comply with the Endangered Species Act, Clean Water Act, and other laws. Telework is eligible for this position.

Qualifications

• Requires a formal education in environmental science or related fields.
• Knowledge of NEPA, ESA, CWA and other environmental laws is essential.
• Ability to analyze and interpret environmental policies and directives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, advise on, and implement NEPA directives for projects.
• Schedule and track environmental activities and conduct field studies.
• Provide input on environmental issues in planning, design, and operation of facilities.
• Review reports and data to ensure compliance with environmental laws.
