Job summary

Continental ContiTech is seeking an Environmental Compliance professional to develop and maintain programs ensuring federal, state, and local regulatory compliance while advancing sustainability goals. You will lead audits, manage permits, and guide environmental strategy with executives.

The role is based in Winchester, VA, with opportunities to drive continuous improvement and risk reduction. The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years in environmental management, deep knowledge of US EPA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in environmental management or compliance with knowledge of regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to interpret environmental regulations, develop policies, and communicate with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain environmental management systems and compliance programs.
• Ensure compliance with EPA, state, and local regulations and permits.
• Lead environmental audits, inspections, and compliance assessments.
• Manage permits and reporting for air, wastewater, stormwater, hazardous waste, and chemical programs.
• Monitor regulatory changes and advise on operational impact.
• Create and maintain environmental policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Investigate incidents, lead root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with agencies, consultants, and auditors; prepare regulatory reports.
