Job summary

Kiewit Power Constructors is seeking an Environmental Specialist to oversee environmental compliance across power and energy projects nationwide. You will collaborate with construction teams to design, coordinate, and implement comprehensive environmental programs that meet federal, state and local requirements while keeping projects on schedule.

Responsibilities include field inspections, environmental reporting, permit support, and training staff on environmental policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental health, environmental engineering, environmental studies or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in environmental compliance for construction projects or similar is a plus.
• Willingness to travel/relocate as needed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and other relevant software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the environmental compliance for the Project by coordinating, managing and implementing project-wide environmental compliance programs and strategies.
• Identify, assess and reduce environmental risks to the company.
• Identify applicable environmental requirements at federal, state and local levels for the project (e.g., hazardous waste, air quality, storm water).
• Review and interpret environmental specifications and drawings; prepare site-specific environmental plans and reports.
• Develop a comprehensive compliance tracking matrix to capture all environmental requirements and monitor progress.
