Job summary

HF Sinclair is seeking an Environmental Specialist to perform environmental assignments within the Midstream Environmental Department in Dallas, TX. The role directs or leads others as needed and requires strong communication and writing skills to ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include overseeing waste management programs, coordinating RCRA compliance, and staying current with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of two years of extensive industry experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related field is required.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills; working knowledge of environmental regulations.
• Knowledge of oil refining processes and midstream operations; ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight for midstream waste management programs including hazardous, nonhazardous, recycling, and municipal waste.
• Manage RCRA compliance programs including groundwater well monitoring, contaminated sites, and remediation projects.
• Coordinate all waste characterization, movement and disposal for midstream operations.
• Identify opportunities for waste minimization and recycling; audit waste minimization performance.
• Direct contract waste handling personnel and integrate waste management plans for projects.
