Job summary

Kaiser Aluminum Warrick, LLC in Newburgh, Indiana seeks an Environmental Compliance Manager to lead the site’s environmental program across air, water, waste, soil, and groundwater, reporting to the Environmental Manager. You will guide operations, secure permits, and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering or natural sciences and 10+ years of environmental experience, with strong communication and leadership skills to drive change

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or natural sciences (chemistry, biology, etc.).
• 10+ years of relevant environmental experience.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across functions.
• Ability to lead change and deliver results in a fast‑paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the compliance aspects of the Warrick site environmental program.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
• Provide regulatory guidance and environmental support to plant operations.
• Manage environmental requirements for capital projects and operational changes.
• Work with regulatory agencies to secure permits and approvals and resolve compliance matters.
• Maintain environmental records and prepare required agency reports.
• Set performance standards and metrics for direct reports.
• Maintain required training and certifications, including Method9, HAZWOPER, stormwater pollution prevention, and related programs.
