Job summary

Pinnacle Recruitment seeks an experienced Environmental Compliance Manager to lead environmental programs across California projects and facilities. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on compliance responsibilities in permitting, reporting, and field execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Natural Resources, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive environmental compliance experience in energy, construction, infrastructure, industrial operations, or similar.
• Experience leading environmental programs, projects, field teams, or professionals.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
• Experience interpreting environmental permits and implementing requirements in active field environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate environmental compliance activities across multiple project and operational sites.
• Provide technical guidance to environmental personnel, consultants, contractors, and project teams.
• Support compliance throughout pre-construction, construction, and ongoing operations.
• Review environmental permits, plans, mitigation measures, and regulatory requirements; translate to field requirements.
• Oversee field inspections, compliance documentation, regulatory reporting, and permit obligations.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and support agency inspections and compliance responses.
• Track environmental commitments, permit conditions, reporting deadlines, and corrective actions.
• Develop environmental procedures, training materials, checklists, and field tools.
