Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc. seeks an Environmental Compliance Intern to join the Environmental Health & Safety Division in Plainville, CT.

This paid internship offers hands-on experience supporting real-world compliance projects across air, water, waste, and sustainability for diverse clients. Ideal candidates are juniors, seniors, or graduate students pursuing a Chemical Engineering degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA and familiarity with environmental regulations.

Qualifications

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal.
Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
Flexible and eager to learn in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Responsibilities

Support environmental compliance projects involving air, wastewater, stormwater, hazardous waste, and spill prevention.
Assist in the preparation of reports and regulatory submissions.
Help develop and maintain environmental and safety plans and documentation.
Conduct regulatory research and compile findings for team use.
Participate in environmental audits and assessments as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on real client projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
