Role Description:

Arcadis is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Environmental Compliance Inspector to support one of the most iconic and consequential infrastructure initiatives in the United States - the Gateway Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP).

Role Accountabilities:

  • Perform and oversee field audits of environmental documentation and field activities
  • Review and prepare written technical reports documenting environmental construction compliance.
  • Report inconsistencies, environmental permitting requirements and or contract specifications to the environmental compliance team
  • Provide oversight of construction as it relates to environmental compliance
  • Ability to interpret scientific data and specifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology or a closely related discipline
  • 8+ years of prior experience performing construction site inspections

Key Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to travel throughout the NY/NJ Metro Area
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience providing environmental inspections in and for NY, NJ and/or NYC agencies
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training (and current refreshers)

We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $145,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
