Job summary

The Doe Run Company is seeking an Environmental Specialist for the Buick Resource Recycling Division in Boss, MO. You will support the Environmental Compliance Supervisor by ensuring data collection, analysis, and reporting meet state and federal environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science/Engineering/Chemistry (or related degree) or equivalent work experience.
• OSHA safety training preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Proficient knowledge of data collection systems, software, and hardware.
• Basic knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations.
• Basic knowledge of current environmental best management practices and compliance techniques/technologies.

Responsibilities

• Compliance: complete monitoring, permitting, and reporting for operations sites.
• Field Work: support environmental sampling/analysis at operations sites.
• Analysis: interpret and stay current on governmental regulations.
• Project Management: manage projects to enhance sampling and analysis.
• Implement Systems: develop systems to manage programs and activities.
• Waste management tasks: characterization, reporting, shipments, inspections, and training.
• Maintain safe, compliant practices per EHS policies.
• If supervising: ensure team adherence to EHS policies and performance reviews.
• Other duties as assigned.
