The Doe Run Company seeks an Environmental Engineer/Scientist to support environmental compliance as a subject matter expert in environmental regulations. The role collaborates with EHS and operations staff to coordinate projects, obtain permits, and design processes to facilitate compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or related field.
• Experience in environmental projects, permitting (air, water, RCRA) and compliance.
• Environmental reporting experience (NPDES, EIQ, TRI, DMR, Greenhouse Gas, Tier II) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive environmental projects from concept to completion with safety and operational considerations.
• Obtain environmental permits and coordinate permit applications and modifications.
• Interact with regulators and site leadership as subject matter expert on environmental regulations.
• Stay informed on new and emerging environmental regulations affecting the company.
• Develop and conduct employee training to support environmental stewardship and compliance.
• Evaluate site practices to continuously improve environmental compliance and stewardship.
• Follow EHS policies to perform tasks safely and with regulatory compliance.
