Job summary

Platinum Global Talent Solutions Ltd. is seeking an Environmental Compliance Field Inspector to support the Hudson Tunnel Project in the New Jersey area. You will lead environmental inspections, audits, and reporting to ensure compliance with FEIS/ROD and permitting requirements.

The role covers pre-construction through post-construction activities, coordination with federal, state, and local agencies, and preparation of technical documentation. Travel to project sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, Planning, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of related experience; experienced candidates should have at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience with NEPA documentation, environmental planning, permitting, compliance, and impact analysis.
• Experience supporting federal facilities, infrastructure, construction, investigation, or remediation projects.
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local environmental laws, regulations, policies, and permitting requirements.
• Strong technical writing, communication, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel to project sites and perform field work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental compliance inspections, field audits, environmental screenings, site assessments, and impact analyses for civil works, infrastructure, facility, remediation, and construction projects to ensure compliance with environmental requirements.
• Provide environmental oversight during pre-construction, construction, and post-construction activities, including review of Environmental Protection Plans, environmental controls, stormwater management, waste management programs, and permitting requirements.
• Monitor construction and remediation activities, track project schedules, excavation quantities, and soil movements, and verify compliance with FEIS/ROD requirements, permits, and contract specifications.
• Prepare, review, and maintain technical documentation, including daily activity reports, environmental compliance reports, site assessment findings, regulatory reporting, performance metrics, and compliance tracking records.
• Identify, document, and report environmental compliance deficiencies, permit violations, or deviations from FEIS/ROD requirements, while supporting corrective action development and implementation.
• Coordinate with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies, installation personnel, project managers, contractors, utilities, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams; attend project meetings and support permitting processes.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and accomplished Environmental Compliance Field Inspector for the Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP). The busiest rail connection between New York, New Jersey, and the Northeast Corridor, the Hudson Tunnel Project will improve capacity, reliability, and resiliency of commuter and intercity rail transit serving 800,000 daily passengers from Washington, D.C. to New York and New England. As the Field Inspector, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of this significant project. Responsibilities

Conduct environmental compliance inspections, field audits, environmental screenings, site assessments, and impact analyses for civil works, infrastructure, facility, remediation, and construction projects to ensure compliance with applicable environmental requirements.

Provide environmental oversight during pre-construction, construction, and post-construction activities, including review of Construction Work Plans, Environmental Protection Plans, environmental controls, stormwater management practices, waste management programs, and environmental permitting requirements.

Monitor construction and remediation activities, track project schedules, excavation quantities, and soil tonnage movements, and verify compliance with FEIS/ROD requirements, permits, contract specifications, and regulatory obligations.

Prepare, review, and maintain technical documentation, including daily activity reports, environmental compliance reports, site assessment findings, regulatory reporting, performance metrics, compliance tracking records, and other written deliverables.

Identify, document, and report environmental compliance deficiencies, inconsistencies, permit violations, or deviations from FEIS/ROD requirements, environmental permits, and contract specifications within required timeframes, while supporting corrective action development and implementation.

Coordinate with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies, installation personnel, project managers, contractors, utilities, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams; attend project meetings and support contract administration, site approval packages, and environmental permitting processes throughout the project lifecycle.

Provide technical guidance and regulatory expertise on environmental compliance requirements, interpret scientific data and specifications, support multiple concurrent projects or task orders, and ensure successful execution of environmental compliance programs at the program and project levels.
