Job summary

Gopher Resource is seeking an Environmental Engineer at our Eagan, MN facility to ensure regulatory compliance for a secondary lead recycling operation. You will engage operations teams and regulators, work across multidisciplinary groups, and report to the Environmental Director.

Responsibilities include leading incident reporting in Intelex, coordinating testing and inspections, preparing emissions and waste reports, and staying current on environmental control technologies; a bachelor in eng

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited College or University
• 3+ years of previous work experience in an environmental compliance related role with a consulting firm or manufacturing business
• Previous work experience with facilitating regulators and on-site contractors

Responsibilities

• Using our Intelex software system, owns the environmental incident reporting and investigation system
• Coordinates environmental testing, audits, inspections, and recordkeeping
• Remains current on the state of the art in environmental control technologies
• Performs data analysis to drive insights into environmental performance opportunities
• Prepares regulatory compliance reports including emissions inventory, periodic air monitoring reports, Greenhouse Gas, and periodic hazardous waste reporting
• Reviews and summarizes technical reports, identifying key takeaways and action items
• Communicates and engages with regulators
• Works with consultants to monitor relevant regulatory changes
• Works with the training department to create and update training documentation
• Responds promptly and effectively to the needs of the business.
