Job summary

Hunt Refining Company in Tuscaloosa, AL is seeking an Environmental Compliance Engineer with a Bachelor’s in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related field and 2+ years of related environmental experience to prepare reports, inspections, and permit applications for regulatory compliance.

You will manage Title V, storage tank, fenceline monitoring, internal audits and agency reporting, research regulations, and support cross-training in the Environmental Department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of related environmental and/or engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare compliance reports, inspections, and permit applications for regulatory compliance.
• Assist with environmental notifications to regulatory agencies and coordinate communication of compliance information.
• Manage Title V, storage tank, fenceline monitoring, internal auditing, and agency reporting programs.
• Research environmental regulations to support compliance determinations and permitting needs.
• Support cross-training within Environmental Department to ensure continuity of compliance programs.
• Participate in water compliance sampling, monitoring, LDAR, and other environmental activities.
