Job summary

Darling Ingredients in Fayetteville, NC, is seeking a Corporate Environmental Coordinator to assist the Environmental Affairs Manager in achieving regulatory compliance across operations.

You will help develop and implement compliance programs, maintain records for permits and renewals, prepare environmental reports (Tier II, TRI, GHG, AEI), and coordinate training with Plant Managers and EHS staff. The role emphasizes organization, communication, and proactive regulatory monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science/engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and implementation of programs and activities to ensure compliance with environmental statutes and regulations.
• Maintain records for environmental authorization reports, expirations, and renewals.
• Work with Plant Managers/General Managers and EHS Coordinators on programs and training to ensure compliance knowledge.
• Prepare, review, and approve environmental permit or renewal applications.
• Track and review changes in environmental statutes and regulations and advise management accordingly.
• Ensure permit terms and conditions are maintained in the environmental management system.
• Participate in environmental training opportunities and seminars.
• Submit Tier II, TRI, GHG, and AEI reports to states and EPA.
• Convert paper files to electronic format.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
