Leidos seeks an experienced Environmental Compliance Auditor to lead multimedia audits across government and commercial facilities in the United States. You’ll plan, execute, and report on environmental compliance programs, identifying deficiencies and delivering actionable recommendations while mentoring junior staff.
The role requires deep regulatory knowledge (RCRA, CAA, CWA, etc.), strong writing and client-facing skills, and the ability to travel 50–75% nationwide, including consecutive
50 states. Multiple environmental regulations. One auditor who knows how to see the big picture — and get the details right. Leidos is looking for an experienced Environmental Compliance Auditor to help lead and grow our environmental auditing programs across the country, supporting federal agencies and commercial clients with complex environmental compliance challenges. Across Leidos, we help government and commercial organizations navigate environmental regulations, manage risk, and improve operational performance. In this role, you'll take that expertise directly to facilities nationwide — evaluating environmental compliance, identifying risks, advising clients, and helping organizations strengthen their environmental programs. This isn't a role where you'll simply work through an audit checklist. You'll lead multimedia environmental compliance audits from start to finish — researching regulatory requirements, evaluating facility operations, identifying deficiencies, and delivering technically sound findings and practical recommendations that help clients achieve and sustain compliance. We're looking for more than a great auditor. We're looking for a consultant. Someone who can walk into a facility, quickly understand its operations, ask the right questions, recognize what matters, and communicate findings with credibility and confidence. Someone who takes pride in getting the details right, holds themselves and others to a high standard, and builds the kind of client relationships that lead to repeat business. You'll also help shape what's next. As our environmental auditing programs continue to grow, you'll take on increasing project leadership responsibilities, mentor other auditors, strengthen client partnerships, and help identify new opportunities to expand our services — particularly in Texas and West Coast markets. The travel is significant, and it's part of what makes this role unique. You'll work at government and commercial facilities throughout the United States and U.S. territories, with audits typically conducted Monday through Friday. Travel generally begins Sunday or Monday, with a return home on Friday. Consecutive weeks of travel may be required.
