Job summary

Qualifications

• Prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Works occasionally in extreme temperatures and around unpleasant smells.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Performs complete cleaning of assigned areas including dusting, sanitizing furniture, cleaning windows and surfaces, and restrooms.
• Handles cleaning chemicals and disinfectants; may assist with outdoor cleaning as needed; may use ladders.
• Removes waste, transports soiled linen, and disposes of trash and hazardous waste as required.
• Keeps cleaning equipment clean and reports equipment issues to maintenance staff.
• Follows infection control guidelines and department quality standards; adheres to safety training and schedules.
• Demonstrates ability to meet time schedules and deadlines.
