Job summary

Green Corps offers a yearlong, paid training program to jumpstart an organizing career. You will undergo eight weeks of classroom training, oversee campaigns across the United States, and gain hands-on field experience—from campus outreach to canvassing staff leadership.

Graduates are connected with organizing jobs in environmental and social change movements, with an emphasis on discretion and independent judgment in decision-making.

Qualifications

• A passion for protecting the environment and committing to environmental work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Leadership experience on campus or in the community.
• Flexibility to adjust plans as campaigns move across locations.
• Desire to learn organizing and campaign skills for a year-long program.

Responsibilities

• Receive eight weeks of classroom training on organizing theory and skills.
• Run three to five campaigns across multiple locations in the United States.
• Organize on campuses, in communities, and through door-to-door outreach.
• Lead a grassroots canvass office, hire and manage canvass staff, and fundraise.
• After the program, connect with organizing jobs in environmental movements.
