Job summary

Fund for the Public Interest is hiring Canvass Directors to build the people power needed to support environmental campaigns. You will conduct one-on-one, door-to-door conversations, educate the public, and recruit supporters for organizations like Environment America and PIRG.

Training starts in an existing canvass office with classroom-style sessions and ongoing advanced trainings. Positions are available immediately or start throughout the year, with opportunities to lead and manage your own

Qualifications

• Leadership experience and potential in campaigns or teams.
• Excellent communication skills for one-on-one outreach.
• Ability to work independently and meet staffing and fieldwork goals.

Responsibilities

• Educate and engage the public through face-to-face canvassing.
• Build support and fundraise for environmental campaigns.
• Hire, train and manage your own canvass team.
• Work to build lasting public support for campaigns across states.
