Luminis Health, Inc. in Lanham, MD is seeking a Frontline Environmental Services Supervisor to maintain a clean, sanitary hospital environment and support a patient‑centered atmosphere.

You will oversee ES attendants, assign tasks, monitor rounds and patient interactions, and ensure readiness for regulatory inspections. You will generate reports, manage supplies, and serve as liaison between nursing and environmental services to quickly respond to patient and staff requests, while modeling

Responsibilities

• Oversees ES attendants on assigned floors and ensures tasks are completed consistently.
• Verifies staff scheduled and adjusts staffing as needed.
• Monitors patient areas for cleanliness and readiness for regulatory inspections.
• Conducts patient rounds with professional customer service.
• Responds to patient and nursing requests as a liaison between nursing and ES.
• Operates Spectralink phone efficiently.
• Ensures floors have adequate cleaning supplies.
• Generates required computer reports and documents.
• Assists with turnover of patient rooms as needed.
• Supervises ES staff in absence of supervisors.

Position Objective

To maintain the Hospital Environment in a clean and sanitary condition through disinfecting surfaces and organizing areas in an attractive manner presenting a customer focus and friendly atmosphere

Essential Job Duties

• Assists ES attendants with daily assignments to include assigning critical tasks that affect patient care. Oversees the activities of the ES attendants working on their floors to insure all job assignments, tasks and responsibilities are completed consistently. Monitors ES staff patient interaction and customer service delivery.
• Verifies that scheduled staff has reported for duty, and makes adjustments to staffing pattern as needed.
• Monitors all patient areas as assigned for cleanliness and insures that they maintain perpetual readiness for regulatory inspections.
• Conducts patient rounds, and other quality studies on a regular basis. Interacts with patients, in a professional manner providing a customer service example for ES staff.
• Responds to patient and nursing requests immediately acting as liaison between nursing and ES attendants.
• Operates Spectralink phone efficiently.
• Insures that all floors have adequate cleaning supplies.
• Generates all required computer reports and documents as needed.
• Provides leadership and assists if needed with the turnover of patient rooms.
• Supervises all ES staff and department activities in the absence of the ES Supervisor and management staff.

Educational/Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent certificate within one year of hire.
