Job summary

Luminis Health is seeking an Environmental Services Attendant Supervisor to maintain a clean and sanitary hospital environment while ensuring a patient-focused, friendly atmosphere. The role involves coordinating daily tasks, monitoring staff performance, and liaising with nursing to promptly respond to requests.

Responsibilities

• Assists ES attendants with daily assignments and oversees tasks on floors.
• Verifies staff report for duty and adjusts staffing as needed.
• Monitors patient areas for cleanliness and regulatory readiness.
• Conducts patient rounds and supports patient service excellence by ES staff.
• Responds to patient and nurse requests, liaising between nursing and ES attendants.
• Operates Spectralink phone efficiently.
• Ensures adequate cleaning supplies on all floors.
• Generates required computer reports and documents.
• Leads turnover of patient rooms when needed.
• Supervises ES staff in the absence of ES Supervisor.

Position Objective

To maintain the Hospital Environment in a clean and sanitary condition through disinfecting surfaces and organizing areas in an attractive manner presenting a customer focus and friendly atmosphere

Essential Job Duties:

1. Assists ES attendants with dailyassignments to include assigning critical tasks that affect patient care. Oversees the activities of the ES attendants working on their floors to insure all job assignments, tasks and responsibilities are completedconsistently. Monitors ES staff patient interaction and customer servicedelivery.
2. Verifies that scheduled staff has reported for duty, and makes adjustments to staffing pattern as needed.
3. Monitors all patient areas as assigned for cleanliness and insures that they maintain perpetual readiness for regulatory inspections.
4. Conducts patient rounds, and other quality studies on a regular basis. Interacts with patients, in a professional manner providing a customer service example for ES staff.
5. Responds to patient and nursingrequests immediately acting as liaison between nursing and ES attendants.
6. Operates Spectralink phone efficiently.
7. Insures that all floors have adequate cleaning supplies.
8. Generates all required computer reports and documents as needed.
9. Provides leadership and assistsif needed with the turnover of patient rooms.
10. Supervises all ES staff anddepartment activities in the absence of the ES Supervisor and management staff.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent certificate within one year of hire.
• Ability to read, follow oral and written instructions.
• A professional mannerism that would have positive outcomes on patients, visitors, staff and coworkers.
