Job summary

GHD is seeking an Environmental and Geotechnical Driller to join our growing team of drillers in Michigan, working on projects across the Great Lakes region. The role involves field operations, monitoring well installations, gas probe installations, and geotechnical work in outdoor environments.

We emphasize teamwork, safety, and integrity, with accelerated professional development through hands-on experience and training via the GHD Business School. Overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of drilling experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Familiar with Geoprobe 6600 and 7800 series track rigs.
• Willing to travel overnight for field work.
• CDL license with Chauffeur’s endorsement required.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Licensed driller in Michigan or others a plus but not necessary.

GHD has an excellent opportunity for an Environmental and Geotechnical Driller to join our growing team of Drillers, working on projects throughout the greater Great Lake State Region.

Responsibilities in this role will include:

• Preform drilling operations including but not limited to geotechnical and environmental drilling
• Perform drilling operation duties primarily related to environmental projects that include monitor well installation, gas probe installations, insitu injections, also some geotechnical projects

For success in this position, you will possess the following skills and qualifications:

• 5 years plus experience
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Good mechanical skills
• Familiar with Geoprobe 6600 and 7800 series track rigs helpful
• Comfortable working in an outdoor environment
• Able and willing to travel overnight and perform field work, travel expenses covered
• Must have valid Driver License with acceptable violation history with a CDL and Chauffer’s endorsement
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Licensed as a driller in Michigan or others a plus but not necessary
