Job summary

Onterris, Inc. in Wilmington, NC is seeking an Analyst I or II to support environmental analysis in our lab. You will analyze samples using LCMSMS and GCMS, troubleshoot instruments, and prepare data for client reports, working with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a BA/BS in Chemistry or Natural Science and 2–4 years of environmental analytical chemistry experience; instrument software familiarity is a plus. Training on 1st shift with transition to 2nd shift will occur.

Qualifications

• BA / BS Degree in Chemistry or Natural Science (or equivalent training).
• 2-4 years’ experience in an environmental analytical chemistry; Instrument software or commercial laboratory experience is an asset

Responsibilities

• Analyze environmental samples utilizing LCMSMS and GCMS
• Troubleshoot instrument issues and perform routine maintenance
• Process data in accordance with SOPs for inclusion in client reports
• Proficient with office software and ability to learn required operational/quantification software
• Aid in development and optimization of analytical methods
• Maintain and update knowledge of relevant instrumentation
• Readily adapt to change in a positive manner and handle other essential tasks as assigned
• Comply with laboratory quality assurance plan and other policies
• Other duties as assigned
