Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking an Environmental Advisor to support environmental compliance and sustainability on a major UK infrastructure project. You'll work with project teams, contractors and specialists to manage environmental risks and promote best practice throughout the lifecycle.

Reporting to the Environmental Manager, you will advise site teams, assist with inspections, and help maintain permits, licences and regulatory commitments while driving continuous improvement and

Qualifications

• A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in an environmental role within construction, infrastructure, engineering, utilities or a similar sector.
• Good understanding of UK environmental legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience supporting environmental management systems, ideally ISO 14001.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with site teams and stakeholders.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Membership of a relevant professional body, such as IEMA.
• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or highly regulated projects.
• Knowledge of environmental permits, licences and consent management.
• Experience supporting sustainability initiatives and environmental performance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Supporting environmental compliance across construction activities.

• Supporting investigations into environmental incidents and near misses.

• Promoting environmental best practice and raising awareness amongst site personnel.
• Maintaining accurate environmental records and documentation.
• Assisting with regulator visits, audits and inspections.
• Supporting sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement programmes across the project.

As construction activity continues to increase, they are looking to appoint an Environmental Advisor to support environmental compliance and sustainability performance across the project.

Your new role

As an Environmental Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of environmental compliance across a major construction site. Working closely with project teams, contractors and environmental specialists, you will help ensure environmental risks are effectively managed whilst promoting best practice throughout the construction lifecycle.
