Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree required; two years substitute option allowed (as stated).
  • Three years of work experience in safety, regulatory, or quality in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in development, implementation and evaluation of policies, procedures, and training programs related to environment of care; supports continuous improvement of compliance programs.
  • Assists leadership in identifying trends and options to reduce risks within environment of care.
  • Researches and maintains knowledge base on environment of care accreditation standards and applicable laws.
  • Conducts routine audits of facilities to validate compliant operation and documents findings; initiates corrective actions.
  • Reviews programs for adequacy, compliance and effectiveness; assists leadership in program improvements.
  • Participates in risk assessment meetings, document reviews, and assignments.
  • Provides research and assistance to departments with EOC concerns or initiatives.
  • Develops and maintains training programs for Environment of Care.
  • Engages with leadership and teams to address compliance issues and share knowledge.
