Job description

You know that a safer workplace doesn't happen by accident. Ready to be the person who makes it happen?

Job Summary

We're hiring an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Representative to support safety and environmental compliance at our manufacturing facility in Parsons, Tennessee. You'll help develop and implement EHS programs, identify workplace hazards, and work directly with employees and plant leadership to maintain a safe, compliant work environment.

This is a full-time, first-shift, onsite position where your ability to connect with people matters just as much as your technical knowledge. You'll lead safety training, investigate incidents, and help employees understand and follow safe work practices while supporting continuous improvement across plant operations.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, implement, and maintain site EHS programs, policies, and safety plans to support compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable environmental and workplace safety regulations.
  • Conduct workplace inspections and audits, identify potential hazards, investigate incidents and near misses, and follow corrective actions through completion.
  • Lead employee safety training and engagement initiatives, developing site-specific materials and communicating safe work practices across the facility.
  • Maintain accurate EHS documentation, compliance reports, regulatory submissions, and permit applications while supporting workers' compensation administration and return-to-work programs.
  • Collaborate with plant management and employees to evaluate equipment, processes, and contractor activities, identify safety improvements, and strengthen workplace safety practices.

What You'll Bring

  • Hands-on environmental, health, and safety experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage employees, lead group discussions, and deliver safety training.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, with the ability to prepare reports, training materials, and presentations.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, manufacturing hazards, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively across different levels of the organization.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) in a manufacturing environment.

A bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety with 2–3 years of relevant experience, or approximately 6 years of experience without a degree, is preferred. Familiarity with forklift safety, lockout/tagout, PPE, safety data sheets (SDS), and compliance reporting is a plus. OSHA 10-hour certification and a proactive approach to ongoing safety training and professional development are also valued.

We offer competitive compensation and a benefits package that may include medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan, paid time off, wellness programs, life insurance, employee assistance programs, and opportunities for training and professional development. Additional benefits may vary by role and eligibility.

If you believe workplace safety starts with people, clear communication, and taking action before problems happen, we'd like to hear from you.
