Job summary

Southland Search Group, a well-established construction firm, is seeking a Safety Manager to lead site safety programs across active projects. You will partner with project leadership and field crews to ensure safety and regulatory alignment.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in construction safety, a degree in EH&S or related field (CHST preferred), OSHA knowledge, and travel flexibility. Bilingual (Spanish/English) is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of safety experience in construction.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• CHST certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction standards.
• Hands-on with JHAs, risk assessments and investigations.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support site safety programs across active projects.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents and crews to ensure safety compliance.
• Identify risks early, drive corrective actions, and build a strong safety culture.

Position Summary:

The Safety Manager leads and supports site safety programs and field compliance efforts across active construction projects, working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and crews to ensure work is executed safely and in line with company standards, client requirements, and regulatory expectations. This role owns site-level safety leadership, with a focus on identifying risk early, driving corrective action, and building a strong jobsite safety culture.

Ideal Candidate:

• 4+ years of safety experience in construction
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Construction Management, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
• CHST certification preferred
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards
• Hands-on experience with Job Hazard Analyses, risk assessments, and incident investigations
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to travel between project sites as needed
