Job description
The EHS Engineer will provide EHS support to various Corporate team operations and manage regulatory compliance obligations in Apple owned/operated facilities. They will facilitate program coordination, perform building and lab inspections, support accident/incident investigations, schedule trainings and drills, and provide emergency response. Additionally, they will support and collaborate on food safety and sanitation procedures for Apple’s Caffè Macs retail restaurants and coffee bars. The role will conduct routine food facility inspections to determine compliance with standard operating procedures (SOP’s), and state and local laws. This role will will also educate chefs during routine visits on food safety and internal policies and procedures. The role will report to the SCV EHS Operations Manager.


  • 5 or more years of professional EHS operations experience
  • BA/BS in an EHS based degree or relevant experience
  • 5 or more years of food safety experience, preferably in a regulatory capacity and/or corporate setting.


  • REHS preferred
  • Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks including Title 8 California Code of Regulations, California Fire and Building Codes, CalEPA (DTSC) rules/regulations, California Air Resources Board (CARB) and Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) rules/regulation, National Fire Protection Association and Workplace Consensus Standards (ANSI/ISO).
  • Working experience with physical safety, fire safety and emergency response, environmental and industrial hygiene program implementation.
  • Experience managing budgets.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, high growth, and results driven environment.
  • Excellent organizational and problem resolution skills.
