Environmental Services Technician - Full Time and Part Time Available

Looking for work? Do you have experience in janitorial or custodial work? Join Goodwill of North Georgia and be part of something meaningful. Our donations are transformed into training that helps people overcome barriers to meaningful employment.

We are offering both full-time and part-time Environmental Services Technician (EST) positions at our store. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the cleanliness of the store through housekeeping and janitorial tasks. The full-time schedule consists of four consecutive eight-hour days, while the part-time schedule covers the remaining three days, also eight hours each.

Responsibilities:

• Keeping the store clean through dusting, mopping, sweeping, and polishing.
• Training in the use of buffers and floor scrubbers.
• Managing trash and cleaning bathrooms.
• Following task outlines and complying with ISO regulations, company, and state policies for safety and security.

Qualifications:

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 30 lbs. with or without accommodations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, reach, and grasp throughout the workday.
• Ability to work in various conditions, including heat, cold, and dust, and to physically process (load and unload) donated items with or without accommodations.

Preferences:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• One or more years of housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial experience.
