Job summary

X4 Engineering in South New Jersey is partnering with an environmental testing lab to hire a Laboratory Technician for its Microbiology team. This entry-level role is ideal for a science graduate or someone with early lab experience, with full training provided from day one.

You will handle samples from receipt to results, prepare media, perform analyses using regulated methods, and keep accurate records in the LIMS.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role for a science graduate or early lab experience.
• Familiarity with LIMS or regulated testing environments.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to a regulated lab setting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to communicate effectively and multitask.
• Weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Receive, log, and process incoming samples into the lab information system.
• Prepare media to support microbiology testing.
• Analyze samples using approved regulatory methods.
• Record results accurately and on time.
• Monitor temperatures and maintain equipment within requirements.
• Assist with lab maintenance and waste disposal.
