Garden State Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a full-time Microbiology Laboratory Technician for our Jersey Shore lab in Waretown, NJ. The role runs 37.5 hours per week with a 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM window and weekend availability.

Training is provided and benefits include medical, vision and dental plans. The laboratory technician will perform sample preparation, record results, and maintain the lab while reporting to the Microbiology Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science is preferred, but not required.
• Laboratory experience, preferably in Microbiology techniques, is desired.
• Garden State Laboratories provides training to all new hires.

Responsabilités

• Preparing media
• Recording temperatures
• Receiving samples
• Analyzing samples utilizing approved EPA and Standard Methods
• Reading and recording sample results
• Laboratory maintenance (washing glassware, discarding samples, general housekeeping)
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor or manager to meet short-term departmental needs.
