Position: Full Time

Reports to: Production Manager Steve Kauffman

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Summary:

Essential Functions:
  1. Aid in envelope manufacturing operations in accordance with the production schedules set by coordinator.
  2. Read instructions for job and set up press for efficient operation and quality output.
  3. Set up machine to run orders by adjusting print quality, hanging plates, mixing inks, and loading/repacking paper.
  4. Troubleshoot equipment and production problems to ensure proper safety standards are maintained and keeping press in optimal running condition.
  5. Monitor ink and adjust when necessary to ensure consistency throughout entire press run.
  6. Ensure efficient size change modifications are correct.
  7. Complete daily production and labor reporting paperwork.
Qualifications:
  1. Previous work experience in a converting operation preferred.
  2. Good basic math skills required. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and current versions of MS Office.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  1. Perform basic mathematical skills including use of measurement systems.
  2. Mechanical aptitude with ability to perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting.
  3. Knowledge of feeding and delivery systems.
  4. Strong attention to detail, well organized with ability to prioritize, coordinate, and simultaneously maintain multiple projects; approachable, flexible, adaptable to change.
  5. Customer service oriented and dependable, with the ability to work well under pressure in an environment full of deadlines, providing accurate output.
  6. Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  7. Effective verbal and written communications skills; ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives.
  8. Maintain a clean work environment and follow safety requirements and principles.
Working Conditions:
  1. Able to lift up to 25 lbs. or more waist high on a frequent basis and up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis.
  2. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time; able to bend, stoop and kneel on a frequent basis.
  3. Warehouse and mechanized environment subject to extremes in temperature.
  4. Occasional overtime available.
  5. Frequent use of basic warehouse and delivery equipment (i.e. forklift, picker, pallet jack, etc.).
