Tension Packaging & Automation is seeking an Envelope Machine Adjuster/Mechanic in South Hackensack, NJ. The role focuses on setting up envelope folding machines, troubleshooting, maintaining quality, and performing required maintenance to ensure efficient production.

The candidate should have a strong mechanical background, basic math skills, and the ability to read instructions and diagrams. The position is hourly and non-exempt, with typical duties across shifts and a team-centered

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED and at least one year as Envelope Machine Adjuster.
• Basic math including fractions and decimals.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, diagrams, or memos and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Change the machine from one envelope style/size to another with minimal downtime.
• Maintain product quality including folding, printing, gum, and attachments.
• Gather parts and attachments before a machine change to reduce downtime.
• Follow safety rules and participate in lean activities.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on machines and keep accurate repair records.
• Work as a team with operators and other shifts.
