Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking an Envelope Machine Adjuster for a Milwaukee, WI facility. This is a 2nd shift position, 3:00pm to 11:00pm, with a wage of $23.00/hour and potential to hire.

The role involves adjusting envelope converting machines, monitoring output quality, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and supporting coworkers. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and experience in manufacturing, preferably with envelope equipment such as FL Smithe or W+D.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in manufacturing; paper/converting industry preferred.
• Experience operating envelope converting equipment (FL Smithe or W+D) preferred; printing experience highly preferred.
• Basic math skills and the ability to read a ruler.
• Excellent mechanical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Make proper size changes and adjustments to all assigned machines with supervisor approval for new orders.
• Monitor machines and operator performance to ensure quality and run speed standards.
• Troubleshoot operating difficulties and adjust to eliminate quality variations and malfunctions.
• Provide training and assistance to coworkers, including other Adjusters.
• Ensure change parts are cleaned and returned after order completion.
• Perform minor machine maintenance and assist with major repairs and moves.
• Monitor machine shutdowns to ensure proper cleaning.

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for an Envelope Machine Adjuster at a company in Milwaukee, WI. This is a potential to hire position for 2nd shift.

Envelope Machine Adjuster Responsibilities:

• Make proper size changes and adjustments to all assigned machines in accordance with estimated change times; obtain approval from lead adjuster or supervisor on start-up of new orders
• Monitor assigned machines and performance of Operators to ensure quality (folding, gumming, printing, count, packaging, etc.) and run speed standards are being met
• Troubleshoot operating difficulties, analyze machine operations and make necessary mechanical adjustments to eliminate quality variations and mechanical malfunctions
• Provide training and assistance to coworkers, including other Adjusters
• Ensure change parts are cleaned and returned to assigned areas at completion of order
• Perform minor machine maintenance and assist maintenance team with major repairs and/or machine moves
• Monitor machine shutdowns, where applicable, to ensure proper cleaning

Requirements for Envelope Machine Adjuster:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience within a manufacturing setting; paper and/or converting industry experience preferred
• Experience operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining envelope converting equipment (FL Smithe or W+D) preferred; printing experience highly preferred
• Basic math skills and the ability to accurately read a ruler
• Excellent mechanical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Basic computer skills
